John P. Gorst

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

John Gorst has served as InsynQ’s Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Director since February 2000, and served as President since April 2001. Mr. Gorst, a co-founder of InsynQ, was with InsynQ from 1998 until its acquisition by Xcel Management, Inc. in 2000. Mr. Gorst has over twenty years experience in founding and leading entrepreneurial technology ventures, specifically in the development of software and data services for businesses.

Mr. Gorst is also a Co-Founder of Gottaplay Interactive, Inc.(GII). GII was one of the first on-line companies built to rent and trade used console games in North America. Mr. Gorst was the Founder of Thumb Media Group, Inc. in 2009 a developer of mobile applications for smart phones which was sold in early 2010 to Fry Communications, Inc.

The prior experience of Mr. Gorst includes serving as a co-founder and President of Microcomputer Training Professionals, Inc., a training/IS consulting business in conjunction with Nynex Business Centers of New York, from 1989 to 1991; General Manager of Business Development for Relational Technology Professionals, Inc. from 1991 to 1993; and as Vice President and General Manager of Interactive Information Systems Corp. from 1996 to 1998.

Mr. Gorst was appointed to, and served as, co-chair for the Business Advisory Council for the state of Washington in February 2001 and in 2005. Mr. Gorst has also worked with the Washington State court system in managing technology firms in various stages of receivership. His responsibility was to manage day to day operations with a focus on preserving assets including customers, human capital, and intellectual property, for the benefit of creditorís.

M. Carroll Benton

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer

M. Carroll Benton is a co-founder of InsynQ, has been with the company since its inception, and brings over 25 years financial expertise stemming from her experience at a local CPA firm. Ms. Benton’s career has spanned both the public and private sectors working largely with the banking systems and higher education institutions where she assisted in the development and deployment of computerization strategies. Ms. Benton has over 20 years experience as a consultant to the small and medium sized enterprise business markets in the areas of accounting system design, field support and business practice analysis. Ms. Benton has also taught undergraduate accounting courses at several Puget Sound colleges and universities.

Joanie Mann

Executive Vice President

Joanie Mann has over 35 years of experience in multi-user system design and implementations, voice and data networking, and advanced network integration. She also has extensive experience in business process automation and a strong background in business accounting principles. For the past 14 years, her specific focus has been on Internet technologies, the delivery of software as a service and the development of comprehensive online services and solutions for business – with a specific focus on finance and accounting. Previous positions held include staff accountant for Lowell E Cooper Accountancy and Cooper and McCulloch CPA, founder of Com-Pacific Resources, Inc, manager of the Seattle-based computer telephony and data integration division of Commworld and Information Systems Management Consultant for Interactive Information Systems Corporation. Her blogs, Bookkeeping in Bunny Slippers and Running QuickBooks in the Cloud provide information and guidance on online accounting and application hosting services for small businesses.

Jim Torpey

Director of Sales

Jim Torpey has been involved in technology sales and consulting for over 17 years. Working closely with accounting and business professionals, Mr. Torpey assists firms in determining their best and most cost-efficient means for technology implementation in their practices. Previous positions held include Sales Manager for Interactive Information Systems, a regional network integration firm, and as Regional Sales Manager for Northern Light, a provider of strategic research portals for market research, competitive intelligence, business analysis, product development and technology research. Mr. Torpey also served his country for many years as a Crew Chief in the United States Air Force.
