John P. Gorst
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
John Gorst has served as InsynQ's Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Director since February 2000, and served as President since April 2001. Mr. Gorst, a co-founder of Insynq-WA, was with Insynq-WA from 1998 until its acquisition by Xcel Management, Inc. in 2000. Mr. Gorst has over twenty years experience in founding and leading entrepreneurial technology ventures, specifically in the development of software and data services for businesses. The prior experience of Mr. Gorst includes serving as a co-founder of Microcomputer Training Professionals, Inc., a training/IS consulting business in conjunction with Nynex Business Centers of New York, from 1989 to 1991; Vice President and General Manager of Business Development for Relational Technology Professionals, Inc. from 1991 to 1993; and as Vice President and General Manager of Interactive Information Systems Corp. from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Gorst was appointed to and served as co-chair for the Business Advisory Council for the state of Washington in February 2001 and in 2005.
Mr. Gorst has also worked with the Washington State court system in managing two technology firms in various stages of receivership. His responsibility was to manage day to day operations with a focus on preserving assets including customers, human capital, and intellectual property, for the benefit of creditor’s.
Mr. Gorst attended Al Collins School of system design 1987-88 and graduated with a certificate in system design. Mr. Gorst also received his certification in project management from Villanova University in 2003.
Carroll Benton
Chief Administrative Officer
Carroll Benton is a co-founder having been with the company since its inception, and brings over 25 years financial expertise stemming from her experience at a local CPA firm. Ms. Benton's career has spanned both the public and private sectors working largely with the banking systems and higher education institutions where she assisted in the development and deployment of computerization strategies. Ms. Benton has over 20 years experience as a consultant to the small and medium sized enterprise business markets in the areas of accounting system design, field support and business practice analysis. Ms. Benton has also taught undergraduate accounting courses at several Puget Sound colleges and universities.
Joanie Mann
Executive Vice President; Strategic Alliances
Joanie Mann has over 25 years of experience in multi-user system design and implementation, voice and data networking, and advanced network integration. She also has extensive experience in business process automation and a strong background in business accounting principles. Previous positions held include founder of Com-Pacific Resources, Inc., manager of the Seattle-based computer telephony and data integration division of Commworld Voice and Data, and Information Systems Management Consultant for Interactive Information Systems Corporation. Ms Mann is one of the founders of InsynQ, and was part of the original team which created InsynQ's e-Accounting services division.
Rob Harville
Director of Technical and Engineering Services
Rob Harville has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis. He began his computer technical career providing computer and network support to the Weyerhaeuser company in Federal Way, WA, eventually becoming a Systems Engineer with Weyerhaeuser's Central Administration team. Mr Harville came to Insynq in 2000 as a Senior Systems Engineer and ultimately earned the role of Engineering and Technical Manager. Mr Harville is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day technical operations at Insynq, as well as managing software testing projects, network and hardware upgrades, and new product planning. Mr Harville holds MCP and MCSE certifications from Microsoft, and is uniquely skilled in the deployment and management of applications in a multi-tennant, high availability hosting environment.
